Who benefits from Risking Connection®?

• Mental health clinicians, agencies & institutions
• Child and youth service agencies
• Clergy & faith leaders
• Educators
• Primary care providers
• Family & friends
• Combat survivors
• Persons recovering from traumatic experiences of all types

Whether your a clinician, clergy, counselor, friend, educator, or family member, trauma impacts your life. Listening to it, living around the effects of it, helping people recovering from it expose you to its effects.

Overwhelming events often occur in context of relationships, and healing from them is best done in relationships. We can't expect wounds from trauma to heal in isolation. We can't expect helpers to be unaffected.

Risking Connection® is the program for creating an effective foundation for trauma-informed relationships.

Risking Connection® isn't a how-to model, and it isn't a set of steps to take. It's a frame of reference that changes the way you think about the people who have survived trauma – and how you think about yourself.

Risking Connection® provides a robust relational foundation for every intervention.

"Risking Connection® is a long overdue and much needed resource. Its breadth and depth are quite astounding, yet has a flexibility and accessibility that will allow it to be used in a variety of service settings with a wide variety of professionals and paraprofessionals alike."
